Ormside Mill is an independent Charity & Company Ltd by Guarantee. It was set up as a joint venture in 1999 by the Lancashire Association of Boys and Girls Clubs and Greater Manchester Youth Federation (formerly know as Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Manchester). Our aim is to provide affordable access to residential opportunities and adventurous activities for young people accessing our member youth clubs across the North West with a focus on supporting disadvantaged young people in deprived communities.

In addition, we welcome a whole range of other groups from schools and colleges as well as corporate groups and private groups throughout the year.

Ormside Mill is an ideal venue for a young people’s residential, a family get together, an adventurous break, an arts project, a mindfullness retreat, a business event or simply a place to come and relax. If there is availability then anyone is welcome to come and stay with us.

Please note we operate a minimum 2 night stay. Single nights may be considered, but will incur a single night surcharge.

The centre is hired out as a whole to one group at at time, so you can enjoy exclusive use of the whole site.
